We have designed our workflow in a way that ensures maximum quality and accuracy. That’s why all our closed captions are reviewed by an expert captioner before being sent to you. 

Also, you have the final say, as you can make any changes you think are necessary and we will add your suggestions to the final captions.

1. Send your file: Book your date or upload your file directly to us. Provide assignment parameters and guidelines, so we can follow your specific requirements for each project. Make a deposit so we can start working on your file as soon as possible. 

2. Captions in progress: once the deposit is made, a human captioner will start working on your file to deliver it as soon as possible. Delivery time is 24-36 hours per video-hour.

3. Review: After the captioner is done, a dedicated Closed Captioning Expert will review the file to ensure all quality and legal standards are met. 

4. Client Review: you will receive our own edited draft that includes captions file and a transcript of the video so you can edit any suggestions you deem necessary.

5. Final captions: review the captions and return the transcript with the edit suggestions to our team. You will receive the final revised captions within the same day.

• Accurate: Captions match the spoken words in the dialogue and convey background noises and other sounds.

• Synchronous: Captions coincide with their corresponding spoken words and sounds to the greatest extent possible and are displayed on the screen at a speed that can be read by viewers.

• Complete: Captions run from the beginning to the end of the program to the fullest extent possible.

• Properly placed: Captions do not block other important visual content on the screen, overlap one another or run off the edge of the video screen.

• Accuracy: computers cannot understand context, so a lot of the meaning is going to get lost in the process. Human captioners are quick at picking up any audio lags, they will use their understanding of the context to fill in the gaps.

• Terminology, accents and speech variations: There are hundreds of different accents, speech patterns, pronunciation and slang terms. Our native-English captioners are skilled in understanding many different ways of speaking, and they are specialized in different fields, so they are knowledgeable of the technical jargon your videos are dealing with.

• Adaptability: this is something automated captions are failing to achieve. The quality of your audio file might change along the duration of the recording: background noise, the volume changes up and down or goes silent, or the speaker turns away from a microphone as they speak.
